
the railway travels past the toccoa river lodge on its scenic route The Blue Ridge Railway is an enjoyable, historic passenger train route that travels from Blue Ridge, Georgia to McCaysville, Georgia (just on the Georgia-Tennessee border). The railway runs from March to December and takes passengers on a 26-mile round trip through historic Murphy Junction and along the Toccoa River.
The railroad was built over one hundred years ago and was a main railroad line through the state of Georgia.
While visiting the Toccoa River Lodge, take the opportunity to ride the railway. You can also enjoy the sites and sounds of the train from an elevated view -- the back porches of the Toccoa River Lodge.
